Being the burial place of Emamzadeh Ebrahim (Abu-Javad) , the brother of Emam Reza (pbuh) , it was called Mashhadsar . Its name changed to Babolsar in 1932. Tomb tower of Emamzadeh Ebrahim (pbuh): Registration No :343
Located in Babolsar , it is a brick construction with an octagonal shaft and conical dome . Dating back to the 9th century AH , it enjoys exquisite stucco carvings and inlaid wooden boxes and doors . The inscriptions bear the dates of construction and give the names of its commissioner , carpenters and calligraphers .
Literature Callege (Old Hotel): Registration No:2353
Built in the early Pahlavi period , it was a three and a half story hotel . Now it is the college of literature and human sciences. Facing southward , the entrance opens on a central hall . A dome crowns the staircase . The building houses paintings of natural views and manifestations of the standards of life in eastern and western countries . This structure is highly praised for its architectural features .
