Located in Rooyan , an important historic district in Tabarestan , this area was formerly regarded as part of Gilan province . The aggregate of Tonekabon , Kelarestaq and Kojoor was know as Mohal-e Salaseh (‘Three Areas’) , the center of which was called Khorramabad .
Toneka Castle : Registration No : pending
Remains of Qala Gardan , or Qal ‘eh Gardan , areextant south of Khorramabad . In the past , this castle was probably called Qal ‘eh Toneka , after which the city of Tonekabon was named . According to historical sources , it dates back to the Islamic period .
Qal ‘eh Gardan Sundried Brick Bridge :
Erected on the old road from Qal ‘eh Gardan to Do-Hezar , this bridge is a relic from the Safavid period . It has three arches , the middle one being larger , and a cobblestone-paved apron . This bridge is 8 meters long and 2.50 meters wide .
